Fox is not calling the plays. And since when does he not want to run the ball anyway?

Somebody is an idiot and since every call goes through Fox the buck stops at him.

Fox hired the motherfucker. Of course he's ultimately responsible for this big bowl of dog shit that we call an offense.

That's funny, I didn't see Davidson consulting with Fox before every call.

That headset isn't just a decoration.

So him wearing a headset proves that Fox was making Davidson call passes in the red zone? Whatever.
Fox did hire the guy, but that doesn't mean he's not letting him call the game the way he sees it. Everybody said the same thing about Henning. They said that Fox was holding him back and forcing him to be more conservative, yet he called fewer runs and more passes in 06 than he did in 05. If anything, Fox fired him because he wasn't running the ball enough.

I've read it in several articles. Maybe it's not completely true but anyone who's followed this team knows that Fox has his hand in it. He's the head coach. |

Well what was your point then?

Fox knows the calls going in. He can veto, make suggestions...what else did you think it meant?

I didn't mean Fox consulted him on every call but you seemed to dismiss fox having any input at all.

Have you folks ever heard John Fox talk? If you have, then you know that he wants to run the ball above all else. It makes no sense whatsoever to assume that Fox is going against everything he believes in just because he wants to override Jeff Davidson.
If you have some evidence that proves your theory though...lay it on me.

At any point in the gme, Fox could have said to Davidson, "we need to run the ball more."
On any specific call, he could have said "check to a run." He's done it before.

I really think they're trying to get Jake some easy TD passes to help even out the TD/INT differential.

He has hired or a least has a say in the idiot that does.

Bears just did this with Cutler. Big run to get inside the ten, then they started throwing short passes. I think coaches really do care about this shit, especially when the QB has a massive contract.

Maybe Fox just wanted to let his OC call the game the way he saw fit, after all the criticism he got for putting handcuffs on Delhomme in the Saints game, IDK. I do know that the OC has to be accountable too.
